Hi, thanks for looking at my Profile.

I've managed to cope with 54 years on this planet.


Single for the first time in 24 years.No debt, no children, and any baggage has been consigned to history.Work part time through choice but sometimes have to work unsociable hours.


I'm thoughtful and try to lead a life that considers others. I can generally find humour in most situations . I attempt to be patient, honest ,and cheerful.I have lived long enough to know what is important and am eager to share what the future holds.


I enjoy old NT/English Heritage houses, gardens, castles, ancient sites and quite often go away for weekends to visit such places.I also enjoy spending days out on narrowboats where life slows down to 4mph and I can enjoy the countryside in a peaceful setting.


My other interests include music from Vivaldi to Led Zepp., photography, and
reading. I'm ok at gardening but not brilliant at it- can't decide if things are weeds or not...lol.Enjoy going out with friends and having a good meal at restaurant's.Oh yes,....and I like Chocolate !


I'm looking to meet new friends but ideally a soul mate- someone you just 'click' with where the conversation is easy and silences are ok too. You'd be reasonably intelligent, sociable and confident , with a mind that is still curious and forever hopeful. Someone who is fun to be with and can make me laugh at myself and the World. Ideally she'll share some of my interests but it would be good to share new ones.


I would be willing to travel to meet the right person as you can't guarantee finding that special person on your doorstep !

I'd be happy to meet for a meal/coffee/drink and see if there's any spark.
